Description:
A striking New Zealand native tussock grass prized for its graceful form and rich reddish-bronze foliage. Forming a dense, upright clump, Chionochloa rubra provides year-round colour, texture and movement, making it an excellent choice for native, contemporary and large-scale landscape plantings.

Position:
Thrives in full sun but will tolerate light partial shade. Best colour develops when grown in an open, sunny position.

Soil:
Prefers moist, well-drained soils but is adaptable to a range of soil types, including clay, provided drainage is adequate. Once established, it tolerates short periods of dryness but performs best with consistent moisture.
