Description:
Hardy, evergreen perennial with long, sword-shaped green leaves that grow in fan-like clumps. It produces striking white iris-like flowers with yellow and violet markings from spring through autumn. Each flower lasts only a few days, but the plant blooms repeatedly, giving a long-lasting display. It’s ideal for mass planting, borders, or low-maintenance gardens, and is tolerant of a wide range of conditions once established.

Full sun to part shade. Prefers a warm, sheltered spot but tolerates wind and light frost

Moist, well-drained soil. Tolerates poor soils but performs best in fertile, humus-rich soil

Care tips:
· Water regularly when newly planted; once established, it’s drought-tolerant

· Apply a balanced slow-release fertiliser in spring
· Tolerates Auckland’s humid climate well and is generally pest- and disease-free
