Description:
Compact, evergreen New Zealand native shrub with a dense, bushy growth habit and fine, aromatic foliage. It produces masses of attractive deep pink to reddish flowers in spring and early summer, creating a vibrant display that attracts bees and other beneficial pollinators. Its tidy form, hardy nature, and low maintenance requirements make it an excellent choice for hedging, borders, coastal gardens, and native landscapes.

Position:
Full sun. Performs best in an open, sunny position with good airflow. Tolerates wind, coastal conditions, and light frost once established.

Soil:
Prefers free-draining soil and adapts well to sandy, loamy, and slightly acidic soils. Avoid heavy, poorly drained soils where water can remain around the roots.

Care Tips:

• Mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds, keeping mulch clear of the stem
