Muehlenbeckia axillaris
Creeping Wire Vine
Description:
Hardy, low-growing native groundcover with fine wiry stems and small round green leaves that form a dense, attractive mat. In summer it produces tiny, creamy-white flowers, followed by small white fruits. Its wiry, interlacing stems create a textural contrast in garden plantings and cascade beautifully over walls or the edges of pots. It is semi-deciduous in cooler regions but generally evergreen in Auckland’s mild climate.

5–15 cm
