Description:
A striking New Zealand cultivar prized for its bold, deeply divided, star-shaped foliage. The glossy leaves emerge deep bronze-purple and mature to a rich purple-black, providing dramatic year-round colour and architectural interest. This evergreen upright shrub or small tree creates a strong focal point in the landscape. Mature plants may produce small greenish flower clusters followed by dark berries, although it is grown primarily for its outstanding foliage.

Position:
Full sun to part shade. Best foliage colour develops in full sun, though it appreciates some afternoon shade in hotter regions.
Soil:
Prefers moist, well-drained soil enriched with organic matter. Adaptable to a range of soil types, including clay, provided drainage is good.

Care Tips:
