Camellia 'Fairy Blush'
Description:
Beautiful evergreen camellia with a compact, upright growth habit and glossy dark green foliage that provides year-round structure and interest. In late winter to spring, it produces masses of small, semi-double soft pink flowers with delicate white highlights, creating a charming display. The blooms attract bees and add early-season colour to the garden. Its tidy form makes it an excellent choice for borders, hedging, woodland gardens, or container planting.

Position:
Part shade to full sun. Prefers morning sun or filtered light, with protection from harsh afternoon sun and strong winds. Benefits from shelter in hotter or exposed sites.
Soil:
Prefers fertile, well-drained, slightly acidic soil rich in organic matter. Avoid alkaline soils and prolonged waterlogging. Mulching is beneficial to keep roots cool and retain moisture.

Care Tips:
- Water regularly during establishment and through dry periods, especially while flowering

- Prune lightly after flowering to maintain shape and encourage bushy growth
- Remove spent flowers if desired to keep the plant looking tidy
- Generally hardy throughout New Zealand, tolerating light frost once established; protect young plants from severe frost and drying winds
