Description:
A popular New Zealand feijoa variety producing medium-sized, oval fruit with firm, slightly rough green skin. The flesh is juicy, moderately soft and slightly gritty, with a distinctive sharp, excellent flavour. ‘Triumph’ is a vigorous, upright-growing evergreen shrub or small tree and is a reliable choice for home gardens, orchards and hedging. It is a late-season variety, with fruit generally ripening around June in New Zealand. Crops are heavier and more reliable when planted with another compatible feijoa variety for cross-pollination.

Position:
Full sun is best for healthy growth and good fruit production. Feijoas are hardy plants and can tolerate wind and a range of conditions once established. Allow plenty of room for the plant to develop, particularly when growing as a specimen or fruiting tree.
Soil:
Fertile, well-drained soil with reasonable moisture. Feijoas are adaptable to a range of soils but perform best where the soil is free-draining and enriched with organic matter.

Care Tips:
- Water regularly while establishing and during dry periods, particularly while fruit is developing.
- Mulch around the base to help retain moisture and suppress weeds, keeping mulch away from the trunk.
- Feed in spring with a balanced fruit-tree fertiliser or suitable slow-release fertiliser.
- Prune after fruiting to maintain shape, encourage new growth and keep the plant at a manageable size.
- Plant with another feijoa variety nearby to improve pollination and fruit production. ‘Triumph’ is a good pollinator for varieties such as ‘Mammoth’.
- Protect young plants from competing grass and weeds while they establish.
- Harvest fruit when it begins to soften and drops naturally from the tree.
- Avoid excessive pruning before flowering, as feijoas produce fruit on new growth.
