Description:
Elegant, evergreen shrub with glossy dark green foliage and an upright, bushy habit. In late winter to early spring, it produces abundant clusters of creamy-white, bell-shaped flowers that hang gracefully from the branches, creating a striking display. New growth emerges bronze to reddish before maturing to glossy green, providing year-round interest. An excellent choice for woodland gardens, mixed borders, and feature planting where its flowers and colourful new foliage can be appreciated.

Position:
Part shade to full sun. Prefers morning sun or filtered light and benefits from shelter from hot afternoon sun and drying winds.
Soil:
Prefers fertile, moist, well-drained, acidic soil enriched with organic matter. Avoid alkaline soils and sites prone to waterlogging.

Care Tips:
- Water regularly while establishing and during prolonged dry periods
- Apply an acid-loving fertiliser in spring after flowering
- Mulch annually with bark or leaf mould to help retain moisture and maintain soil acidity
- Remove spent flower trusses after flowering to encourage healthy new growth
- Prune lightly after flowering if shaping is required
- Protect from hot afternoon sun and prolonged dry conditions, particularly in warmer regions of New Zealand
