Description:
Evergreen, clump-forming New Zealand native perennial with narrow, upright, flax-like foliage in striking shades of bronze, copper, and orange. The foliage colour intensifies in full sun and during the cooler months, providing year-round interest. Delicate white, iris-like flowers appear from late spring to early summer on slender stems above the foliage, followed by attractive seed capsules. It spreads slowly by short rhizomes to form tidy clumps, making it an excellent choice for adding colour and texture to the landscape.

Position:
Full sun to part shade. Best foliage colour develops in full sun, while plants in partial shade tend to remain greener. Tolerates wind, coastal conditions, and light to moderate frost once established.
Soil:
Prefers well-drained soil and adapts to a range of soil types, including sandy, rocky, and poorer soils. Performs best with moderate moisture but tolerates short dry periods once established.
