Description:
Compact, evergreen New Zealand native perennial with broad, glossy green leaves forming neat clumps. In late spring and summer, it produces elegant sprays of star-shaped white flowers held above the foliage, adding a delicate contrast to its lush foliage. Hardy and versatile, it is well suited to coastal gardens, shaded areas, and low-maintenance landscapes.

Position:
Full sun to part shade. Performs particularly well in part shade but will tolerate sunny positions if soil moisture is adequate. Excellent for coastal and exposed sites.
Soil:
Well-drained soil. Adaptable to a range of soil types, including sandy and clay soils, provided drainage is adequate.

Care Tips:
- Water regularly while establishing; once established it is drought tolerant
- Remove spent flower stems and damaged foliage to maintain a tidy appearance
- Apply a balanced slow-release fertiliser in spring to encourage healthy growth
- Divide established clumps every few years if they become crowded
- Mulch around plants to retain moisture and suppress weeds
- Hardy throughout most of New Zealand, tolerating coastal exposure, wind, and light frost
