Description:
Evergreen perennial native to New Zealand. It features narrow, flax-like leaves in shades of orange-bronze to copper, which intensify in full sun and cooler months. In spring to early summer, it produces delicate white, star-shaped flowers on slender stems that rise above the foliage. The plant spreads slowly via rhizomes, forming attractive clumps that provide bold colour and texture contrast in the garden.

Position:

Prefers full sun for best leaf colour, will tolerate light shade, though foliage colour may be greener. Protect from strong frost in colder regions

Soil:

Grows best in well-drained soil, tolerates poor, sandy, or rocky soils once established

Prefers moderate moisture but will handle short dry spells

Uses:

·          Ideal for borders, rock gardens, and coastal gardens

·          Excellent for mass planting or groundcover

Care tips:

·        Cut back old or damaged foliage in late winter to tidy the plant
